I was back at EES last Friday. I got into Paradox and was able to look over the files in it. O.O;; Wow... lots a data. I don't think Access is going to be able to handle the job... or at least, I'm not going to be able to do it by myself by only going in once every couple of weeks. They're probably better off just trying to update to a newer version of Paradox.

Saturday was the day to meet with my group to work on our class project. We headed for the school. Unfortunately, they were closing up the building. So, we stood around waiting for Andrea for a while. It was getting late and Becca said that she could have sworn she saw Andrea go into the building before it closed up. Sadine looked inside and tapped on the window. Sure enough, Andrea was locked inside! She had to break her way out through the fire exit.

Lucky for us, the alarm wasn't set, yet. O.O; The security guard was on his way back and got there after we left.

Anyway, we headed across the street to the Pat-Med library to work on our paper. We got most of it done that day and then finished it up during class work time last Tuesday. After some last minute changes and some more typing, we handed it in at class last night.

final countdown
My final's on Tuesday. Then, I get a whole week off as my Session II classes don't start until the 10^th. YAY! I'm happy about that. I'm just worried about this stupid final. I have to work on my review packet this weekend and study up.

working away
Work study's been a busy thing. We were doing letters today. We've also consistently lost track of time and Barbara owes me like two hours. I can't work more than 20, so she usually gives me the hours she owes me the following week by writing me in as being there when I'm not.

Shhh....

Anyway, we were working on our re-entries for the March night and weekend session. Also, our absentees are a daunting task. It's a constant game of catch up and frustrating to keep calling people to see where they are. After a while, it gets harder to make it sound like you're calling out of concern for their wellbeing instead of to check up on them for quota issues with the state.

We also have graduation to start working on as well. Cap & Gown order forms, ticket reservations, graduation request forms, all that stuff is coming up. We have another mailing to do, in addition to the re-entry mailing, plus there's the 'why haven't you come to class' mailing of about five or so letters that goes out every couple weeks or so. Plus, Barbara's entrusted me with all the computer work... mail merges, Excel sheets with student information, labels, letters, all that fun stuff. It's certainly right up my alley with my skills as far as office software goes.

sife projects
With the way things are working out, we're not sure if we're going to have enough projects completed by April 5^th for the SIFE competition in NYC. It's certainly going to be interesting to see what we can do about it. We're allowed to present about ongoing projects... they don't have to be complete to be in our presentation. That's a good thing, so we'll at least have more than just the Probation Dept, Chess Tournaments, and the Indian Orphanage project to present.

However, we actually have to get these projects moving. It's been hard to set up meetings with the people we have to work with to get these projects in motion. Little Flower looks like it's going to be delayed until the end of April, Virtual Main Street will be a long term project that definitely won't be finished by early April, and it's been difficult getting in touch with the person at the Woman's Outreach Center.

Walter's been working on the PowerPoint Presentation for the most part. I'd like to get in on that, but I'm not sure how much I can do with that. I need more information on the Virtual Main Street before I can really get started on it, but I think I can start a bit more on the back end. We also want the stores to be able to have administrator access to their own individual accounts so they have more control over what they can put up. Also, I think there should be back end access for the Chamber so they can update anything on the front of the site.

health base update
I finally got in touch with someone about the Health Information Portal. I hadn't heard from them for a while and was starting to get a bit worried. I finally e-mailed Rob the other day and he got back to me about it. I hope to hear more soon.
