the way the football falls
Well, the season is done for the Broncos. At least we even made the playoffs this year.

Honestly, this was the game I expected two weeks ago when our boys in blue and orange first met the Colts in Indianapolis. I really wasn't expecting us to kick ass so badly. Yet, we did, and made the Wildcard berth as a result. However, we knew we'd play them again. Shanahan sat his guys last week and let the back-ups and third stringers have some fun, but I'm beginning to wonder if that was such a good idea. Granted, it prevented bad injuries that could have seriously messed things up, but was a second impromptu bye week what took our boys out of their mood?

Of course, I could look at it this way... At least it wasn't a total shut out... we did get 10 points, to say the least... ^^;;

Hopefully, they'll do really well next season and get a bit further.

post season clean up
We did a little post season cleaning up ourselves here at home. We took down the Christmas tree and put away a good portion of the decorations. You know, with all the decorations we have, you'd think we have a bigger house.

work study news
Barbara from school called today. Apparently, because of my student status with graduation and readmission, I can't start on their work study program until the 12^th, instead of starting it tomorrow like she had wanted. I'm not too worried about that. She's going to look into maybe setting me up as a temporary employee in the meantime, since she needs people for the Admissions and Academics departments with the start of the new semester coming up.

I'm still going over tomorrow to fill out some more paperwork for it. I feel like I've been driving down there and just constantly filling out forms. It's been just plain crazy with that. It's a good thing I'm not a student at Bethpage. I'd hate to have to drive an hour just to fill out two forms, come home, and get a call that I still don't have all my forms done. {{sigh}}

However, I'll have a small income for a while this way. It'll be a good thing. The salary I get from tutoring just doesn't cut it... I don't get paid enough money or enough times for it to be my only source of income... and Bill just hasn't had the money to pay me. I'm going to see if I can set up my schedule so that I can still work two or three days over at EES. Since that's off the books, it's not going to affect anything.
