home again
Mom and Dad are home now. They had a good time upstate and did most of their Christmas shopping as well. So, I no longer have the house to myself. But, it was fun while it lasted.

what did i do?
I watched my DVDs... played around a bit with the paints on my Gundam models... finished my laundry. I found that the glossy enamel is way too shiney to use for the entire model. However, it might work for certain details, like the little areas on the shield and stuff. So, I bought a matte black and a matte gray color. Unfortunately, the gray color is darker than I thought it was, so now I have to go out and buy some matte white. I also got a tiny brush for the details and I'll be able to paint my Duo figurine for real now, since it's not shiney paint. That would have looked dumb.

snow...
We had snow this past Tuesday. Of course, that was the day I took Mom's car to the dealer to get the spoiler and alarm installed. And... because my luck just stinks, I got a Sebring convertible to drive home.

Now, convertible tops have come a long way in recent times. They've got real glass rear windows now instead of that soft plastic stuff. They're also really well insulated so you're not freezing in the winter time. But, I still wished we had done the car switch in July... because I could have driven with the top down in both cars!!!

test results
I got my tests back this week, too, since last week was midterms for me. I got a 93 on my Java miterm and a 100 on my Accounting midterm. Needless to say, I'm very happy. If I keep this up, I'll be graduating with that 4.0 after all! It's really an exciting prospect.

interview blahs
Of course, I have to call the school back about my exit interview for Financial Aid anyway... plus I have a re-entry interview as well on Tuesday. I already did my admissions for the four year, signing up for my Bachelor's program. I just hope I don't have to do all this reapplying stuff. It's going to be a pain. In fact, I think I put on my Financial Aid forms that I was going to be attending next semester, so I should be getting money for that, too, anyway.

Of course, I just got an e-mail from the Dept of Ed about renewing it starting Jan 1, 2004. I'm confused, so I'm thinking I should print the e-mail and bring it along with me.

house to myself, baby!
Well, my parents headed upstate for their annual Thanksgiving weekend trip to Lake George today. So, I've got the house to myself again. It's nice. I get to putz around for a few days without worrying about parents or even just having to live around two other people. They're not always like parents to me anymore. I've finally hit that age.

Anyway, they left Dad's truck at Auntie Lyn's and took her Taurus. I'll bet Mom wrote the mileage on the Mustang down, so I probably shouldn't take anyone for a ride. I was going to take John out in it today, but decided against it. I opened it up instead and let him take a look at it when he got here.

dvd fun
He came by and we watched The Hulk, as well as finished watching the rest of my Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team series. We had watched the first half a while ago, but hadn't had the chance to finish it up until now. I also showed him my un-put-together models. I have to paint them, yet.

ideas
I was debating on what to do this week, too. I was thinking of stopping by the hobby shop tomorrow and looking for some brushes and maybe getting started on painting those models. I'll be able to spread out and do it over the next two days without worrying over whether or not my parents will get annoyed by how much room I'm taking up with them. I was also thinking of watching the DVDs I have that I haven't watched, yet... like my Ronin Warriors or something. Of course, the DVDs I can always watch on a day I'm not working, but the models need drying time unless I take my hairdryer to them (it has a cool setting so I can blast them with cool air).

Maybe I'll look into doing that over the next few days.

And some cleaning... if I feel up to it.

You know, with everything going on over there, I'm not thrilled with the idea of Laura going over for her birthright. I know she's religious and it's part of her family's traditions to do something like that, but... I don't know. Can't they make provisions for safety issues?

I just hope it's worth it for her.

I can't believe how snappy towards people I've been lately. It's not like me to be bitchy, either. I think I'm just tired of all the self-pity going around.

I mean, seriously. All I hear from everyone lately is how things are so horrible and their lives are so terrible. What can I possibly do about it? Nothing! I understand the need to vent, but spread the wealth, huh? I just feel like everyone keeps dumping on me all the time. There's only so much listening I can do anymore.

I'm done with it. I'm usually the rock in all sorts of situations, but rocks crumble.

I'm also tired of walking on eggshells with everyone. God forbid someone does something that someone else doesn't like. Then you've got to hear it. And it's usually something the person complaining has done in the past themselves. Like scrolling, or talking about particular topics... whatever. I'm just tired of all the double standards and how it's okay for some people some of the time, but not everyone all of the time. Don't tell me to stop when I don't tell you to stop the same thing.

It's funny how what we all hate the most in other people are the things we do ourselves.

Honestly, I'm just being very blunt. Maybe it's not bitchiness. I'm just finally letting out how I feel and what I really want to say. I'm tired of biting my tongue for the sake of avoiding hurt feelings. After all, if I can't be honest with friends, who can I be honest with?

Of course, whether or not they still want to be friends is a totally different matter. But, if they don't like it, then maybe it wasn't meant to be. Would they rather I lied? Then who can they trust if even their friends lie to them, right? I don't know anymore.
