catching up
Well, it's been a terribly long time since I've posted here. A lot's happened.

testing yay-ness
I talked to my Graphic Design teacher about my grades. He says I'm carrying an 'A' at the moment, so I don't have to make up for my 'B'. I'm happy about that. We have another test on Tuesday, so I have more essays to do this weekend.

project boo-ness
While I was able to change the date of my project because of the vacation I took with Mom, it means I have to do it on Monday. {{sobs}} Either way, I'm going to be doing a lot of homework this weekend. Unfortunately, there wasn't much I could do with the project while I was away.

I also have some major catching up to do homework and classwork wise for that class. I'm not looking forward to it.

fun fun city trip
John S. took me to the city on my birthday. ^_^;; Happy birthday to me! We hit the wax museum in Times Square, the Empire State Building, Planet Hollywood, and then took a carriage ride in Central Park. We were there for a long time.

Laura and I didn't get to meet up. I couldn't hear my cell phone in my bag while we were on the street, so I missed her call. But, I got the message. Now I have her cell number and I can bug her on her birthday... {{evil laughter}} ~_^;;

Anyway, we had two younger girls with us, Justina and Kelly. Justina's birthday was the day before mine and her mom, who works with John S., asked if he could basically be a tour guide for her for a birthday trip. Kelly is Justina's friend who came along as well. Justina's mom gave us some cash to cover stuff like lunch and train tickets, so we were all set.

It was a good day. I was exhausted when I got home. Details to follow... ~_^

movies are fun
Last weekend, Mike and I took in a movie. We went to see Underworld with Kate Beckensall. It was pretty good. I can already tell it's not going to be critically acclaimed, and I felt the editting needed a little work. However, the storyline was great. It didn't have as much in the way of blood and gore as the Blade movies do, but what kind of Vampire/Werewolf movie would it be if it didn't, right? That was cool.

trip for leaf peeping
I went upstate with Mom and Nana on Monday. We got home Thursday. It was a good trip. Nana's been pretty sick lately with all the hospital trips and such. Plus, she was having some serious cataract issues that she just got fixed. She was getting upset that she might never get up to see the fall colors at Lake George again.

Mom made some reservations and we went up for a few days. It was nice to get away. Yes, I missed class, but phoo... I didn't care. This was worth it. Plus, I contacted my teacher ahead of time and got the notes and assignments (which I have to do this weekend... Yikes!!! O.O;;). Anyway, Mom and I went shopping and stuff. The three of us took a boat ride on the lake and took Nana up to the top of Prospect Mountain. She was in heaven the whole weekend. She brought a book, we had a room with a balcony overlooking the lake, she was happy. She even handled the stairs on the boat and at the motel extremely well.

I didn't avail myself of the room's jaccuzzi tub this time around, but maybe I'll go back up with them for Thanksgiving weekend this year. ^^;;
