catching up
I haven't posted in a while, so I guess I should... especially since my last post was bit... well... disjointed? Heh... ^^;;

I went to a party Saturday at Michelle's. It was similar to my Home and Garden Party, but this one was called At Home America. They had some nice stuff. Very country/rustic looking, but the prices were more like Home Interiors... High... O.O;;

Michelle, Erin, and I sat there for quite a while after the party looking at the products, deciding what we would reasonably pay for them, and then gawking at the prices the company was charging. It was kind of fun to have that many price attacks. ^^;;

more testing blues
I had a test yesterday in class. Yay... It was kind of easy. And I'm still ahead in my work for class. Maybe I'll do all the stuff for Chapter 3 during the day tomorrow. Just for kicks. I'm bored.

workin' out
Mom and I joined a gym today. We're going to this place called Curves for Women. Our neighbor Melinda goes and she sings the praises about the place. Lord knows I could use a little shaping up, so I'm gonna give it a shot. My last foray into the world of the health conscious didn't go so well and only lasted about three months. But, I wasn't really happy with the situation at the place. This one looked like it might be fun and easy to do.

I'm hoping we get our history tests back tonight. I want to see how I did. I'm hoping I can keep my average up, and I really don't want these stupid required garbage classes to be the ones to pull it down. That would figure, right? I feel the same way I did last semester about that Collegiate Learning class I had to take. It's hard and a lot of work, and it would be dumb for that to be the class that does in my average.

sife-ness
So I joined SIFE. Students in Free Enterprise. The dean I spoke to at the beginning of the semester about my schedule touted about it, saying that I'd be perfect because of my average. I figured I should get involved in something, right? I mean, I am coming up to graduation now and I have my four year degree to consider. People seem to like people who are involved... ^^;;

Anyway, they want me to do the Basic Computing module for the training program we're setting up for the parollees in Riverhead. I'm not thrilled with the idea of working with parollees, and I have no idea as to what kind of equipment we're going to have or what kind of curriculum I have to follow (if one at all). Once I get clearer on that, then I can really start figuring stuff out.

I'll probably get more information tomorrow night at the meeting.

back to work?
So... Mom called Dad and told him we joined the gym. We made our appointment for Thursday to go in for a weigh & measure, and then for our first workout. Dad said, "But I'm bringing her into work with me Thursday."

O.O;;

Um... He is? Apparently, Dad got Bill to agree to me coming on Tuesdays and Thursdays, figuring those would be good days because I have late class. Of course, those were the days I was going to go with Mom to the gym, since she doesn't get home from work early enough to go with me before class and I don't get out of class early enough to get there before it closes.

Figures... Everything happens at once and good things become bad things because they interfere with each other!!!! ARGH!!
