I was driving in to class tonight, and I passed a cesspool service truck on Sunrise Hwy. Normally, that wouldn't be a big deal. However, the slogan on the back of the truck just hit me funny.

Yippee... my day was full of boring errands.

I sort of got some free money today. The insurance company sent me a refund on what I paid into the cancelled policy because I didn't use any of it. That was a nice suprise check of just under $300 that came my way. That means I can pay off some other stuff, too. Plus, it's a good thing since Keisha cancelled tutoring today. Then again, $275 is a lot better than $5, $10, or $15 (if she had stayed long enough for me to charge the school three hours at $5/hr).

I'm also going to stop in at Suffolk Life tomorrow. They have two ads for positions, one says to e-mail the résumé in and the other says you can stop in for an immediate interview. I'm going to send an e-mail over for the first one to see if they got my résumé when I sent it to them and then stop by for an interview for the other position. Plus, I still have that interview on Monday up at SUNY SB.

could gundanium be closer than we think?
Wasn't gundanium some sort of titanium alloy blend? I don't remember, but I do remember someone mentioning something during one of the shows I saw about a titanium/ceramic alloy blend made on the moon, also known as "lunar titanium". Was this a form of gundanium, or some other rediculously strong alloy they used in one of the shows' mobile suits (Tallgeese?)? If I hear news on some country developing mobile suits, I'm building myself a bunker. ^_^;;;

Well, big relief on Twenty Four. Jack's not dead! Yusef is, though. And he turned out to be a good guy, too. And I'm really upset about Lyn. I think she's going to get it at the hospital, I really do. Palmer didn't send anyone to watch her (which he could have sent that Aaron guy or something), so I have a feeling someone's going to try to go after her. Next week's looks really good. Jack tells Kim over the phone to kill someone she's with. O.O;;

Class was okay. The kid finally uploaded a working version of his game to our shared server. Now that other girl and I can start working on it, too. I'm still clueless about it. We're working our way through a sorting program and calling functions for the main portion of the class. Personally, I thought there was already a sort function in C, but I could be wrong. I hate nested loops. They get so repetitive. Then, you always get those ones where you forget something, and it ends up in an endless loop. O.O;;; Oops. Oh well.

getting the call
I got a call from SUNY SB today. They have two positions that 'fit my qualifications' and I'm interviewing for both on Monday at 2 pm. {{crosses fingers}} Wish me luck.

I also got another call to help with tutoring Keisha in math again. She's in MT-102 now (I think). She had the old book last semester, too. Should be interesting if she hasn't gotten the new edition, yet.

games
As for class, he's got me looking into this other kid's game code. I'm suddenly clueless on how this kid made that game. I finished the matching game, so it's really cool. It flashes at the end and beeps and stuff. I haven't figured out how to make more than three colors, but I might be on to it using the ConLib files that the teacher gave us. There's a thing called 'intensity' and the comments for each color says 'contains this color'. That means I might be able to change around the levels of the colors and mix them to make new ones.

As for the PalmOS stuff, I have to install that disk the girl gave me on my computer. We'll see how that goes.

making the grade
I got another 'A' on another assignment for Net Lab & Troubleshooting. I also handed in that huge 100 question packet last night. I know I got certain ones right and certain ones wrong. We'll see what the final verdict on that is tomorrow when I get it back.

Anyway, the award ceremony was moved. It's not on Thursday anymore, so I'm not missing class, but they changed it to Friday, so now I'm missing Rainbow. Oh well, someone else can do Acting Worthy Advisor that night. I'm getting a little tired of it myself.

I feel bad that I don't feel bad about missing the meeting. I mean, I feel a bit like I'm letting Aly and Patty down, but that's it. I feel a bit guilty that those are the only reasons I feel bad about missing it. I guess it's just hard to feel any real attachment to something that you only feel welcome half the time. I'll have to call Patty tonight so she can ask someone else to do Acting Worthy Advisor. I don't want to leave her in too much a lurch. It wouldn't be fair.

Families of our service men and women join the blogging community. Also on this particular blog is a list of other blogs, both from various military personnel and their families. It makes for an interesting read. A Dizzy Thought or 2... is celebrating the leave of her 'flyboy', as she calls him. He'll be home for a bit before heading back to his deployment. Dizzy's also the person I got that "Bitch Mode in Progress" graphic ("Blinkie" as she's named them). She has a bunch she's made.

Well, no one got angry at anyone this time around, but there was enough tension to drive someone nuts. First, Nana and Auntie Lyn were an hour late, which freaked Mom out (she always assumes the worst of everything). But, everything was okay when they got there. Then, the dog (yeah, Auntie Lyn brought Roxey with them) got all hyper. She's a little dog. They get hyper. It's what they do. But, God forbid the dog do something she does naturally. Auntie Lyn wouldn't stop yelling at her. I felt bad for the dog.

Dinner itself went fine. Then, we sat down to watch HP: CoS. Auntie Lyn insisted on looking at the ads from our Sunday paper (why she doesn't just subscribe herself instead of always taking ours is beyond me) during the movie, interrupting when she wanted to point something in one of the ads out to Nana. Then, she wanted someone to brush her hair. I know she has trouble because of her neck, but she couldn't wait until the movie was over? Everyone was watching the movie, and she gets all upset that no one wanted to brush her hair for her at that particular moment. {{sigh}}

And she called today to ask me to put all our ads in a bag for her so Mom could bring them into work for her tomorrow. Um... she looked at them already during the movie at my house, wasn't that enough? Plus, *we're* the ones paying the subscription for the paper. If she wants to read the paper and the ads that badly, it would save everyone the trouble if she would just get it herself, right?

And yes, that whole depression thing a few days ago was me PMS-ing apparently. So I was mega-grouchy all day yesterday. That was fun.... Not.

vb homework
We got the project working on Saturday. It was cool. John S was so happy. I'm going to ask Dad to see if he can get the full version from Phillip at work. The version that came with John's textbook doesn't have help files in it, which is dumb. The version I have does. He could really use them. They would help him out a lot.
