Saturday, September 20, 2003 ( 12:13 AM ) The Duchess I need money before I can go see movies... {{sobs}} As for scary movies, I don't get scared too easily. Jurassic Park made me jump and squeak when Ellie was in the fuse building and the velociraptor tried to jump through the fence at her. Then, I jumped during The Mummy when Evelyn's brother jumped out of the coffin at her. They built that up for like nothing... Figures... Sixth sense was compelling for me, but not really scary. And nothing gives me a good laugh like all those Freddie and Jason movies... and the Hellraiser movies. My friends and I used to watch those at sleepovers. The only movies that really stuck with me afterwards were Critters and The Predator. I was young when I saw those. After Critters, I was afraid to let any part of me hang off the side of the bed because I thought my fingers and toes might get bitten off. After The Predator, I had to keep my closet door closed because I kept seeing the shadows move, and I thought it was the cloaked alien. ^^;; # Friday, September 19, 2003 ( 2:28 PM ) Darren *Eyes go all stary-like.* 12.....to 24.....feet??...*.* Obviously Florida isn't going to be getting big waves, that's why we loves Isabel *looks around for AJ and huggles her again* She gives us 10-12 footers. A trip to Hawaii...hmmm...Daniel, when is there the LEAST tourists in the area. I'd want to go when it isn't too crowed or too many tourist. I can barely stand the ones that come here, so I don't want to be one of them that deal with packs of people. Yes...I had problems in Sixth Sense. *folds arms* Actually, I remember watching the movie "Willow" as a kid and be freaked out by the two-headed monster that the monkey thing turned into. It's more the suspension that I can't take. You know, the type where you KNOW something is going to pop out and you're just waiting for it to happen...*sighs* I'm a wimp, and yes, deep dark water freaks me out but hey, I still face it. Two movies to go see tonight. "Underworld" and "Second Hand Lions". Underworld, because it Vampires and just looks cool, and Second hand Lions because there's gonna be a three minute preview to Return of the King. YAY for a longer post! # ( 10:37 AM ) Albert You aren't normal, anyway, Darren. *thwaps him again* And get away from Isabel! Mandie, Darren is afraid of his own shadow sometimes. The Sixth Sense terrified him. This is the surfer who is afraid of deep dark water *chuckles* *hides Dan's message from Darren* No, you can't take a trip to Hawaii! # ( 9:24 AM ) Mandie *blinks* Oh... okay Dan-o... I confused myself there... don't mind me *chuckles* sometimes I don't know what I'm talking about, and I've been a space cadet all week long. But I developed my kick from Blading, Softball, Gymnasics, and calves of steel from Marching band *falls over laughing* Nothing builds the calves like roll stepping, except maybe tennis... Which I'll be learning later this year *grins* And I can vouce for those wave *chuckles* Been to North Shore on Oahu (spelled it right didn't I?) and the North Shore of Maui... Never went in the water of course, cuz I don't know how to surf (kinda hard to learn in a land locked state *grumbles*) but I like to watch the waves. The bigger the better.... The ones off the coast of Oregon aren't spectacular in size unless you see them during winter storms, in which case the like to try and break over the sea wall. Now that's an awesome sight too! # ( 4:22 AM ) Danny Play Mandie, I know it was you that wrote that, but the reason why I said Jess was because of this... [ Wed Sep 17, 05:28:57 PM | Jessica Sullivan ] Well, I've got a rather nasty kick myself. ^^;; I used to be a dancer, so my legs are pretty powerful as a result. Of course, I have absolutely no upper body strength, so I punch really weak. I knew a girl that was into dance, but decided to take some kickboxing lessons from my friends and I. Because of that, her kicks left bruses even through the pads. Even if they were old and getting thin. Darren.. Boyo.. Remind me to take you to the North Shore during Winter season during the southern swells. We're talking anywhere from 12-24 foot waves. And I'm not making this up. # Thursday, September 18, 2003 ( 8:14 PM ) Mandie *blink* wow... Danny mentions not grabbing Jess's leg when I'm the one talking about being a jumper at the movies... did I miss something in my couple day absence? *chuckles* I liked "Ravenous" it wasn't much on the scary side but was a bit gorry... good flick for a B rate movie... One that scared the shit out of me when I first saw it? 13 ghosts... talk about wrinkling shirts... one of my friends has washed his sweatshirt four or five times since then and it's still wrinkled on one side *chuckles* I cut off his circulation... although "Silence of the Lambs" was good and I own "Red Dragon". Darren... *blink* you really had problems in Sixth Sense? I have to admit there were a couple of times I jumped or kicked the seat in front of me but it wasn't scary... at least to me... a couple of my friends were scared by it. # ( 6:20 PM ) Angie What's wrong with horror films, Darren? The best ones imo are the vampire flicks or the very gothic...or the weird ones like "The Ninth Gate". >D # ( 5:54 PM ) Darren Horror films?? *gulps* Hehe, was reading back on some of the other posts. YAY for Robyn's classes being canceled. YAY for Isabel!! *huggles her again* Hmm..I never say Final Destination, but I saw the second one, it was gross, I wasn't normal for weeks. # ( 5:45 PM ) Albert *chuckles* for those of you left in the dark, all of the East coast of Florida is getting some pretty sweet waves. And Darren's surfer-sense is going crazy. *glances at his sunmarked friend and then at the car, which has sand in every possible place, and sighs* # ( 5:43 PM ) Darren ACK! But we loves it. We needs it. Yes I hope those in its path of havoc will be ok but it's being friendly to us. # ( 5:36 PM ) Albert *kicks Darren* get away from that thing! # ( 5:34 PM ) Darren *Huggles Isabel* # ( 5:29 PM ) Angie I prefer creepy movies...especially the vampire-type movies. *_*
( 4:14 AM ) Danny Play *starts Jamming to "Moonlight Shadow" at 10 at night* Ok. Jess, remind me to NEVER grab your leg.... Scary movies.. Ok. Those things are lame.. Scene one: Cue entrance of "Helpless girl" Scene two: Cue entrance of "scary person" also cue "scary music" Scene three: "death" of said helpless girl Scene four: Enter "hero" in time to save "helpess girl" in time from "scary person" after said girl was supposivly killed in last scene. Just for effect, my friends were laughing when watching Final Destination. We can't believe that someone would be stupid enough to walk into the street backwards. And before I forget.... Danny Play's Word Of the Day My word of the day is... Moumentai! # ( 2:51 AM ) Laura A quick note before I run off to dreamland... I loathe and detest horror movies. They scare me too much, and then I have horrible nightmares afterwards for days. [My imagination is too vivid.] So I avoid them like the plague. All the forms filled out. Yay. Classes cancelled on account of the huge fekkin' storm headed our way. Double yay! Here's to a hurricane party, my first in all my college years. *grins* I'm just glad my week is done in terms of classes now. ;) No computer architecture class! *_* I hate that almost as much as I hate horror films. Heh. *runs off to sleeeeeeeeeeep* # Wednesday, September 17, 2003 ( 7:22 PM ) Albert Heheh One of Darren's pet peeves about scary movies is people, who have already seen it, grabbing him on the intense parts. When we went to see The Sixth Sense, he kept a hold of my arm so I wouldn't try to scare him (But, just between us, I think he was just freaked out. And I still have the wrinkles in the sleeve of that jacket, hehe) # ( 5:28 PM ) The Duchess Well, I've got a rather nasty kick myself. ^^;; I used to be a dancer, so my legs are pretty powerful as a result. Of course, I have absolutely no upper body strength, so I punch really weak. Government forms are all convoluted. You know many times I've had to fill out my mom's 9686 because she can't figure it out herself? She sits and tells me where stuff goes and I put it in because it's on the computer. LOL. Got Darren's address... e-mail going out to him shortly. ^___^ In the meantime... I'm bored bored bored bored bored bored bored bored bored bored bored bored. # ( 9:24 AM ) Mandie Yeah, AJ mail Jess Derran's blog address and we'll get him here *grins*. I've never been in a fist fight, but I had a friend (well she wasn't really a friend) that would attempt to hit me and what not, but I was a fast runner. Then later, I found out I may be little but I can rip someone up one side and down the other when I feel like it. And *dies laughing* thanks to horror movies and wacky friends I do know I have a powerful kick if I need to use it... Made an entire row of seats at the BIG theater here shake when I nailed it at a horror flick... My friend just had to grab my leg at the wrong time, or he thought the right time *rolls eyes* # ( 8:53 AM ) Laura Here's a random thought for you: Why the deuce do federal employment forms have to be so convoluted...and not come with instructions that explain what they're for? --;; On the bright side I'll be getting paid once I get this crap filled out and turned in. Woo. # Tuesday, September 16, 2003 ( 9:58 PM ) The Duchess AHA!!! I figured it out. This is the LoFi interface I'm using here. It's probably because the stupid computers here at school don't support the fancy one. Grr... Stupid computers. # ( 9:55 PM ) The Duchess Just finished my test... Ugh. I hate essays. But, I don't think I did too bad. {{crosses fingers}} Hopefully, we'll have them back on Thursday. And I really hate this whole 'can't see the old posts' thing that these computers see. It's horrible. # ( 4:12 AM ) Danny Play Danny Play's Song Of The Day Moumentai # ( 1:55 AM ) The Duchess Tarot... *_* I'm really having fun with it. It's funny the things I've gotten from it. AJ, what e-mail address does Darren use for Blogger? If you get on messenger, pop it over to me in an offline or something and I'll send him an invite. ^_^ I think you and Dan need a little more support for the male side... lol # Monday, September 15, 2003 ( 4:09 PM ) Angie Mille Bornes is a card game, but it uses a specialized deck of cards. Also, Jess, when you are stuck you add up everyone's points and figure out a winner based off points--but I forgot the scoring system so it doesn't help much. ^_^;;; I need to get Mille Bornes, my parents have the only set. I'm not sure I would really want to know what a Tarot reading for me would reveal. It'd be strange, to say the least. And I was also in a fist fight in high school, but that involved a guy who kept pissing me off who started the fight by lightly slapping me. I punched, he slapped...and he was on the wrestling team so he was utterly humiliated. *grin* # ( 3:20 PM ) Albert If it wouldn't be too much of a trouble, maybe we could invite Darren to post on this baord? He's feelin kinda left out. hehe # ( 11:26 AM ) Albert Darren and I did Tarot readings for each of the Gundam Pilots, including Treize and Milliardo...it was scary how accurate they were according to each character's personality and history. Since then I have retired my cards because I am not watching Escaflowne anymore (finished the series, woot!) and have since taken up interest in other things *smirks*. What the blaze is Mille Bornes? A card game? A freaky board game? The name reminds me of the character in Treasure Island, Billy Bones. "Billy Bones! I know you're in here, Billy Bones!" (Personally, I think the muppets did the best interpretation of this classic) For the record, though, I have not been in a fist fight since High School. Of course, a lot has happened since then. One being that I weighed 25 pounds more than I do now and was an avid volleyball player. *le sigh* Dans les bons jours *pats Frenchie on the head* good boy. On Sundays, yes, at Church, even, I am the children's Chorister and we just had our big program where we preformed all the songs we had learned these past three months. Needless to say, I am glad it is over. But now we have to start getting ready for the Christmas Program. Gahness... # ( 9:16 AM ) Mandie Random Thought: Being sick really sucks... so do O chem tests # ( 12:29 AM ) The Duchess Well... we got the basic premise, but got stuck with various hazard cards. I think we just shuffled really bad. LOL. # |
