Saturday, September 13, 2003 ( 7:23 PM ) Angie I know how to play Mille Bornes! I'm kinda nasty to whoever I'm playing against, though. The point of it is that you're in a car and driving along, you have to reach the 700 mile marker. Along the way there are red "disaster" like cards that you can play on your opponents, four "safety" cards that protect you from "disasters", "repair" cards, and mile marker cards. It's easier to explain in person, but those are the basics of the game. I forget how the scoring goes. ^_^; # ( 5:10 PM ) The Duchess Woah... D... scariness... And yes, we attempted to play Mille Bornes. And yes, I spelled it wrong on my last post. ^^;; I don't think it worked very well because none of us really knew what we were doing. It would probably go smoother if at least one person had known for sure what the deal was. LOL. Maybe I should play with my parents a few times before playing with my friends again. It's their game, afterall. LOL. We also played around a bit with my Tarot cards. Johnny didn't really take it seriously though, and his reading got a bit messed up towards the end. The first part made sense, though. Plus, I'm still learning how to interpret the cards. Johnny has a tendancy to poke fun at things that aren't known, so it was hard to explain things when I don't fully understand them myself and he was teasing about everything... ^^;; # ( 3:15 AM ) Danny Play *starts singing* Big O! Big O! Big O! Big O! Big O! Showtime!!!!! *needs to lay off the magical crack* *goes off to do some funky DDR dance* # Friday, September 12, 2003 ( 8:27 PM ) Angie Jess, did I hear you mention Mille Bornes? And my weekend is going to be kinda eventful. Tonight I'm going to see The Matrix Reloaded in the Science Auditorium. Tomorrow Jamiekins and I are going to be going to the grocery store and then we're heading to the mall with my roommate Gosia. Sunday is all the wonderful homework. Blarg. # ( 7:15 PM ) The Duchess Let's see... my aunt's coming over tomorrow because she and Mom couldn't figure out how to program phone numbers into her new cell phone. She's bringing it over to my house so I can do it for her. -_-;; Tonight, after dinner, I'm going over to Estelle's house, and we're going to play Miles Bornes and try to figure out my Tarot cards. ^^;; Sunday, I'm probably doing laundry and homework and studying. I have a test in History of Graphic Design on Tuesday. And I have a lot of stuff to do for that stupid Intro to Computers class. They'd be easy classes if it wasn't for the amount of work I have to do. {{sigh}} # ( 5:19 PM ) Mandie AJ in a fist fight *winces* And you're supose to be the calm one of the trio... Oy... Why am I suddenly worried for the health of anyone that hurts a memeber of this group... x_x; How many people would we have beating up on the offending person *winces* That would be ugly... cuz I know I'd be in the middle of the foray if any of ya'll were hurt by someone else. I'm feelin' one big brawl would probably describe it... O.O... Let's hope that never happens. Anyway my weekend? Well tomorrow is booked... Hair cut followed by niece's b-day party... followed by studying... followed by football game against Idaho to watch... and Sunday is studying... Today is studying and chores... I might bring Jason over to my brother's tonight to meet him and play some X-box... So who wants to take bets on who wins the games *grins*. # ( 10:59 AM ) Albert So, anyone doing anything interesting this weekend? Let's see, that new Johnny Depp movie comes out today. "Once upon a time in Mexico". Gah, I bet it'll get all the Puerto Ricans riled up around here, hehe. Never call a Puerto Rican a Mexican *shudders* But, it IS a good way to learn how to swear in Spanish. *nods nods* Or, even better, you can break up with your Puerto Rican girlfriend and meet her brother in the boys bathroom during school....Somehow it's easier to remember words when they're being pounded into you between a fist and a tiled wall. Of course *chuckles* I taught him a few of my more favorite English curse words. But I don't think he remembered them...his head might have been too damaged. # ( 8:14 AM ) Mandie Oy... it's early in the frippin' morning... To early to listen to a guy hum Big O *chuckles* I had to get up way early this morning to head off to an O Chem discussion before classes *sigh* the things we have to do to pass... Anyway I know I missed some groups in the run this morning, just didn't have time... I'll try to get to them this afternoon. # ( 2:49 AM ) Danny Play *starts humming the Big O theme* # Thursday, September 11, 2003 ( 7:39 PM ) The Duchess Someone's in a shiny mood... LOL. I'm not really picky about layouts, so feel free to play. # ( 6:12 PM ) Laura Hey, were we ever going to play with shiny layouts? >.> Or are we just sticking with shiny purple? :D I'm making a new blog layout this evening...when I'm not playing Animal Crossing since I borrowed it from my friend Erik. And I [heart] the Hatchet because I will have a very shiny paycheck at the end of this pay period. *_* # ( 1:49 PM ) Angie Laura, I'll take Big-O notation over stats! Big-O notation's pretty easy for me to understand, but Luther and his giving out insane amounts of homework sucks. Comments on my blog are back up, by the way. YACCS was adding a server and my comments were down. Not sure how many of you didn't know that, though, I've been neglecting my blog as of late. Probably shouldn't be either.... # Wednesday, September 10, 2003 ( 4:21 PM ) The Duchess There's two new options up on the top half of the window... I played around with them on the beta testing blog I set up for fun when they were testing the new format. They work, and didn't seem to screw things up for me. Since that's my testing blog, I don't care if something gets messed up. If you want me to try anything out that your not sure of (like comments programs and other little plug-ins for Blogger), let me know and I'll throw them in there. That way, new options can be played with, and there won't be any worries of messing things up on an existing blog. I have a few ideas I want to try out, but I need the time to actually do them. ^^;; # ( 10:53 AM ) Laura Mandie....I may never read this blog at work again. >.> Luckily no one was around my area when I read your last post. @_@ Jess, I think it's just the computer you're on. Here at work I see the crap beta version they tried first with blogger, where you can't view old posts while typing a new one--you know that split level format? I think it's just my computer at work. It's retarded like that. ;) RARR! Stupid stupid math stuff. ;_; I thought I was rid of it, but it just came back to bite me in the arse again. >O!!!! Big O notation is evil. I know I need to know it being a programmer, but I wish someone would EXPLAIN the math behind it before they throw it at me and tell me to calcuate the c and N for a function. --; Another rarr for relationships. Boo to all the complications. All I want right now is ti get my homework done. Is that so much to ask? --; Oh, and here's to hoping for no more...surprises. _-_ # Tuesday, September 09, 2003 ( 11:14 PM ) The Duchess Don't worry, Dan. We're not old. My friend just turned 30 on Sunday. LOL. # ( 9:53 PM ) Mandie You're not old Danny... *chuckles* The guy I'm dating is 27. You have just under a year on him. X_x; Jess no mention of Frued please... I just got bad reoccuring images of my hilarious Psych Prof and her Penis Envy feelings... ie, women don't have penis envy... the only thing we see them as good for is writing names in the snow... And her husband lets her writh her name in the snow... x_x; Yeah... Definately not an image I need to picture again. BAD THOUGHT BAD THOUGHTS OUT OUT OUT! *beats head with hand* # ( 2:57 AM ) Danny Play *shuts up because he's old* # Monday, September 08, 2003 ( 9:36 PM ) The Duchess Okay... it must have just been where I was at school or something because Blogger's back to normal for me again now that I'm home... O.O;; weird. # ( 8:33 PM ) Angie I never took psych, although my roommate did. ^_^;; I took political science instead--or as it should be referred, a class in BULLSHIT. And my computer club meeting tonight went long...really good, but long. And for some reason TJ and his bunch are obsessed with the crayfish TJ found in the Lake today. # ( 7:30 PM ) The Duchess I'm just saying "in general", AJ. There are always exceptions to every rule when you're dealing with people. I've also seen people older than me who I've felt were extremely immature. And then people like Trevor, whom I originally thought was closer to my age than he actually is. But, there are basic behaviors that people at certain ages do. I'm not going to get into a huge psychological debate on this because it's just not worth it. We just can't expect people to act older than they are all the time. Granted, a lot of people will act younger sometimes, but there are certain behaviors and priorities that are generally associated with certain age groups. Those associations are there for a reason. They weren't just thought up randomly by a bunch of Frued's in an office somewhere. Heh... and here I thought that required psychology class wouldn't come in handy... lol # ( 7:22 PM ) The Duchess ACK! They changed the format again! That and I'm totally bored in class right now... {{diesdiesdies}} # ( 5:15 PM ) Albert Personally, I don't think the age of the person ever determins the way they react to any given situation, with relationships or otherwise. I've seen people who are 26 throw a fit and go off the deep end when they are declined. And, as has happened here, I've seen it happen to teenagers, as well. But I've always had a problem with "figures of authority". Like old people who want everything for free. I give respect, of course. But some of the people I've delt with when I was working: "I didn't get my Seniors Discount and I want a refund." Gods! I pay Social security taxes for these people! I think as I give them back their whole ten cents. But it's not just old old people. In my first High School, my problems were with the Deans and Administrators. Once again, "figures of authority" who want a piece of my life to control. I just get angry when people think that someone should act one way just because they're a certain age. "Oh, they're older than me, so they know better than me." Bullshit! # ( 11:57 AM ) Laura *cheers* I had NO problem at the badge office this morning! WOOHOO! So, I'm all set at work for now, just waiting for them to get a paid spot open for me so they can give me money. *grins* Erm, other things are....bleh. Not going into explanations on here. But it's getting better, or I'm working too hard to really think about it for extended periods of time. *shrugs* It'll all work out in the end, I guess. Got to train my new paid web bitch yesterday. We get to hire like 3 or 4 more unpaid web bitches. I will have my very own web posse. How sweet is that? This means no late production nights since they'll be posting. ;) I get to do only creative fun stuff. Yay! Just about time to leave work. Class at 2pm and I have other crap to do before then, including eating something so I don't fall over. ;) Btw, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow is fun when I'm not dying. [I only started it yesterday, so I haven't made it through to a save point yet. ;_; It's fun, though!] # ( 9:16 AM ) Mandie Blogger did that to me the other day Danny x_x;... It sucke royal! I had the correct name and password and it wouldn't let me in *shrugs* oh well at least you can get in now. # ( 5:23 AM ) Danny Play Danny Play's Phrase of the day: "Gee. Blogger finaly let me in." # Sunday, September 07, 2003 ( 1:56 AM ) The Duchess I'm still carrying a cough from my allergy attack like two weeks ago... I just can't shake it. {{sigh}} But, my neck's been doing better lately... definitely not as horrendously painful as it was on Labor Day. I was so ticked that my last day off from school was spent home and in pain. Grrr... # |
