history:

Mia is speculated to be Duo's twin sister, but neither has confirmed this through more than a feeling. Mia was initially adopted by a young newly-wed couple shortly after she became separated from her parents and brother. Mia doesn't remember her real family except for a single nightmarish dream of an attack on a building near the playground she was at with her mother and brother. Her adoptive parents died in the plague that ravaged her colony, and she was sent to the orphanage at Maxwell's Church. There she first met Duo. On the day the Church was destroyed, she and three other children managed to escape out the back door before the Alliance destroyed the Church. The four of them were gone by the time Duo returned, so each child grew up believing themselves to be the only survivor. Mia went to Earth where she was accepted into Saint Gabriel's Institute on their War Orphan program to be a student there. She left after the Gundams came to Earth, winding up in Luxembourg where she received Omega from Treize Khushrenada. She was reunited with Duo during a Preventor meeting after the Barton Foundation's last attempt at Operation Meteor was defeated.

personality:

Mia is, in a lot of ways, very similar to Duo. Her true feelings are often hidden behind a mask of openess, and her outgoing nature can often be deceiving. She has the ability to focus on her missions with a singlemindedness almost equal to Heero's, and her devotion to her convictions and beliefs rivals even Relena's. Mia's upbringing by Saint Gabriel's gave her a more polished side that enables her to react better to formal etiquette better than her brother, Duo.
